My partner and I are serious food critics. So, when we read all the reviews on Bangkok Cafe' we had to find out for ourselves. On New Year's Eve - Dec 31st, 2011 we drove an hour to reach the Bangkok Cafe' from the far side of Yadkin County. We found the place moderately busy with a delighful aroma filling the small but cozy cafe. We ordered both the fresh spring rolls and the fried spring rolls as appetizers.. both were very fresh and had a wonderful flavor. Next we had the Tom Yum Gai soup... words can not decribe the gourmet flavor so I'll just say... most excellent! Next we had the Bangkok Beef and the Fried Pinapple Rice with shrimp and chicken, both dishes were unbelievably delicious and the gracious servings left us full and most satisfied. The waitress was extremely friendly and the food came out of the kitchen so fast it would make your head spin. This is definately a five star restaurant! We are already planning a return trip to this modest little cafe with the best Thai dishes we've ever had in the entire Piedmont Triad. We left there simply amazed and delighted in everything... atmospere, food, price, and service.
