I had been an infrequent patron of the farmer's market and had always wondered about the Moose Cafe until one afternoon when we decided to try it out. I am so glad we did! The Buttermilk Chicken is my favorite...so tender and full of Southern flavor! Sweet iced tea in mason jars?! Loving it! The food is awesome as are the portion sizes, the ambience, and the service. We recently started having our 'Payday Friday Breakfast' there and are equally pleased with the food and selection. Buttermilk Chicken for breakfast...yes please! The omelettes are awesome, too! My only complaint? I wish the servers would go back to writing down my order instead of 'remembering' it and having to come back to ask me to repeat it. Other than that, and I would rather repeat it than to get the wrong food, I love the Moose Cafe and will be a faithful customer for as long as they are in business! I have been searching for that one place where I could take my out of state family for a true Southern meal and the Moose is our pick!

One of the best values for the money in the area. We often go on Friday nights including last one. I took my wife, daughter and a friend with their children and everyone enjoyed it. I had shrimp and fish. The shrimp were very good, and while the first fish I had was overcooked, when I mentioned it, my waiter brought out a large, perfectly cooked piece that was as good as I've had anywhere except for maybe very pricey fine dining. Service is almost always outstanding, though we do try to go when they are not too busy, because it can be slow when they are full.

The best pancakes in the world. And fantastic country food; and all at a sm. cost to your wallet or purse. The pancakes have tiny bubble holes in them and taste like cotton candy. The best time to get there is 7:15 am for cakes; and after 2pm for the

I've eaten at this restaurant many times. It is in a league of its own when it comes to country/southern cooking. Nothing in Greensboro or the surrounding area compares. Portion servings are large, the daily menus are varied, and the service is a cut
