If there is a better Mediterranean restaurant in the U.S. I haven't heard of it. Mavi has all of the elements which I think would be part of a perfect Mediterranean restaurant. These include a menu that is truly diverse in its approach to the cuisines of this vast region, the kind of high quality and fresh ingredients one would encounter while travelling the region, a truly romantic environment which has the effect of transporting its patrons abroad, and lastly, true passion for food and wine of the Mediterranean. I am equally thrilled by the Duck L'Orange and the Mixed Seafood grill, of course representing vastly different cuisines.
